Gomes in Rumour Mill Frenzy

PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes cannot keep out of the Fleet Street headlines at present.

The goalkeeper has been reportedly linked to Arsenal, according to the Daily Star, who say the coveted keeper is on his way to Arsenal.

Reports in the Star’s sister paper the Daily Express are somewhat on the contrary though, suggesting that Gomes may in fact join bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dutch club have alleged slapped a £10 price tag on the 27-year-old, a price neither club are prepared to buy.

Should Spurs miss out on Gomes though, Diego Lopez of Villarreal and Udinese’s Samir Handanovic are targets of manager Jaunde Ramos. Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has also been linked to White Hart Lane by the paper.
