Spurs in bid to sign Paul Robinson from Blackburn

Redknapp is planning a major overhaul of playing staff at the club this summer, with a new goalkeeper a priority, according to a report in the Daily Star.
After seeing his confidence shattered by a run of poor form for England as well as Tottenham, Robinson was sold to Blackburn last summer, with Heurelho Gomez brought in as first choice.
However, despite a turn around in form from the Brazilian who himself suffered a difficult time early on in the season, Redknapp is prepared to sell him to fund new purchases and doesn’t view Carlo Cudicini, a January buy from Chelsea, as a long term first team player.
Should the deal go through, Robinson would, remarkably, become the fourth player sold by the club recently to return under Redknapp, with Pascal Chimbonda, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane also finding their way back to North London.
Robinson has rebuilt his career at Ewood Park to such an extent that he has been handed a call-up to the England squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Andorra.”
