Reina in Reds Rallying Cry
By Danny Wright
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes his side can still qualify for the Champions League semi-finalsĀ - despite suffered a 3-1 hammering at the hands of Chelsea in the first leg last night.
Guus Hiddink’s side turned on the style to run out comfortable winners, with a brace from full-back Branislav Ivanovic and a Didier Drogba goal cancelling out Fernando Torres’ first-half effort.
The Reds now need to beat Chelsea 3-0 or 3-1 to progress next Tuesday, a tall order for any side travelling to Stamford Bridge.
“The game is going to be much tougher now. We have to go to Stamford Bridge and beat them 3-1 or 3-0,” Reina told Sky Sports News.
“But, as I said before, we are capable of winning at any stadium. We know we have to put ourselves back on track and try not to make the same mistakes.”
