Lindegaard Keen To Keep Place.

Manchester United keeper Anders Lindegaard has spoken of his enjoyment as being Sir Alex Ferguson’s number 1 for the past 3 games and hopes the manager keeps picking him over his previous number 1 David De Gea.
De Gea sat on the bench for the past 3 games as since joining the premier league in the summer he has not looked fully confident so it was the mangers choice to drop him to the bench and play Danish keeper Lindegaard.
Lindegaard has played very well and looks ready for first team action each week if chosen. Lindegaard spoke out in the week but saying “ David (De Gea) is a strong powerful keeper and at only 21 he has years of playing time ahead of him. Im 27 now and want to play regular football at Manchester United as long as I can. So in 10 years when I retire David can be the number 1 for the club but until then I want the manager to pick me”
Lindgaard was playing second division football for Aalesund in Denmark and before he signed for United nobody knew who he was or what talent he had. He signed for a fee to be in the region on 3.5 Million.
Lindegaard hopes to avoid any injuries over the rest of the season and hopes to make his managers job a tough one but hopes he can be the one Ferguson wants in his starting line up.
Manchester United face Arsenal this weekend and Lindegaard hopes he is the one for the big game and can get a win for his side.
