Schmeichel Sympathy for Rival

Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel says he is “gutted” for teammate Joe Hart, who will be out for a month after picking up an unfortunate injury at the weekend.
Hart damaged ankle ligaments in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Hull City at the KC Stadium after challenging striker Daniel Cousin for the ball.
The injury means Hart has been ruled out of the England squad to face Germany on Wednesday, after receiving a call-up from Fabio Capello just a day earlier.
Schmeichel is likely to fill the void left by Hart, with Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson taking his place in the national side.
However, the Dane, son of legend Peter, expressed his sympathy, telling the club’s official website: “I’m gutted for Joe with the internationals coming up,”
“He’s been flying of late, and then all of a sudden that happens. It’s a real kick in the teeth and I feel for him,”
“It just seems typical of our luck at the moment. When things are not going for you, they really don’t go for you, so we have just got to dig in but we cannot let it affect us,” he added.
