Tim in Toffees Pledge

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has vowed to remain at the club after making his 100th appearance for The Toffees.

Howard started in Saturday’s 3-1 win over West Ham at Upton Park and broke another milestone, becoming the first keeper in the club’s history to concede less then a goal a game throughout his first 100 appearances.

The 29-year-old arrived on Merseyside two years ago from Manchester United - initially on a loan spell - but agreed a permanent move last February.

And since then, the American hasn’t looked back and now plans to remain with David Moyes’ side.

He told the club’s official website: “I hope that I can stay consistent, stay here for a long time and do it with this club,”

“100 games is a fantastic milestone at any club but, as I’ve always said, at Everton there’s something special about it,”

“The ability to play consistently over the last few years and get to 100 games is a marker for me. The record part? That’s icing on the cake.”
